Lady from the Rah tribe in Chin state, Myanmar. Women in Chin state used to get a facial tattoo during adolescence. Each local tribe has its own pattern. The Rah tribe’s pattern consists of vertical dotted lines. The painful practice was forbidden by the Burmese government in the 60s.

Printed on acid free museum grade Canson Baryta Photographique 310 gsm paper using archival pigment based ink. Sizes are in cm and include a 1.5 cm white border around the photo. Signed and dated on the back.

 

All prints come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Both the print and the certificate are marked with a hologram that carries a unique number.
